As the incredible voyage of Operation Noah's Ark takes place we give you a peek behind the scenes at the people who make it all happen - capture crew, veterinarians, cameramen, pilots and captains.

There are several phases and steps that need to be taken. We will be updating you as they do...

Capture . . .
The team locates the elephants from the air in a chopper, darts them
and monitors their vital statistics once they are asleep. They are loaded onto specialised trailers, which will take them to their containers.

Relocate . . .
The containers, with elephants inside, are loaded onto an aircraft and flown to a landing strip near
Quiçama National Park.

Release . . .
The containers are loaded back onto trucks and driven into the park where the elephants are then released.
