Moving a large
number of animals
is no small feat. This incredible operation requires very careful
planning, the experience of professionals, the very best in equipment
and all-important funding in order to be successful.
What follows
is the basic plan to date.

Step
1

Capture
begins of 75 elephant in Tuli game Reserve, Northern Botswana
|

Step
2
|
Elephants
arrive at Walvis Bay after being trucked for a day and a half
from Tuli.
Elephant
are loaded onto the ship along with other game

Step
3
|
Animals
spend three days at sea on the South African Navy support
vessel - the SAS Outeniqua
|
|
Step
4
|
Animals
arrive in Luanda, Angola and are trucked 60 kilometers to
Quiçama National Park where they are released
|

Step
5
|
The
remaining 75 elephant and other game begin their journey when
the whole process is repeated.

Containers
The elephant
and other game are housed in standard shipping containers while
being trucked and shipped and these need to be modified to accommodate
them.
Unicorn
Lines offerd to donate 40 shipping containers to the Kissama
Foundation for the operation. These containers will be modified
to transport elephants and other game to Angola.
