The story so far:

It takes an incredible amount of organisation to make a project like Operation Noah's Ark successful. The basic plans have been made. The challenge for all of those involved is finalising logistics and obtaining sponsors for equipment and services needed.

The following has been confirmed:

Date

The first day of the operation was scheduled for 03 June 2004, but has been postponed endefinitely until a sponsor is found that will assist in enabling the actual operation.

Containers

The elephant and other game are housed in standard shipping containers while being trucked and shipped and these need to be modified to accommodate them.

Unicorn Lines offered to donate 40 shipping containers to the Kissama Foundation for the operation. These containers will be modified to transport elephants and other game to Angola.
